Pain of Truth
Pain of Truth brings its intense Long Island hardcore sound to Union Transfer, with Madball, Rotting Out, and Locked Shut on the bill. Known for combining old-school hardcore influence with a modern, forceful edge, Pain of Truth’s live performances emphasize audience participation, stage dives, gang vocals, and a highly physical pit. The band’s music centers on resistance, struggle, solidarity, and opposition to social divisions.
Pain of Truth features Michael Brian Smith on vocals, Nick Barker on drums, Nik Hansen and Ridge Rhine on guitar, and Zach Stachura on bass. The band has released the *No Blame…Just Facts* EP, the full-length *Not Through Blood*, and a split with Sunami, and is preparing a self-titled sophomore album produced by Will Putney. Their touring history includes appearances alongside Knocked Loose, A Day To Remember, Terror, Madball, Speed, Counterparts, and High Vis, as well as sets at Sound and Fury, Outbreak, Louder Than Life, Ieper Fest, Sick New World, and Vans Warped Tour.
