Penn Players

Penn Players presents *The Prom*, a musical comedy about Emma and Alyssa, two young women in love who want to attend prom together in Edgewater, Indiana. When their community threatens to cancel the event rather than allow them to go as a couple, a group of self-absorbed Broadway actors arrives to champion an inclusive prom—and to revive their own struggling careers through favorable publicity.

The production combines humor and heart while satirizing ignorance and examining how people can stand up for what is right, lead with love, and learn from one another. It is presented as a Penn student show.
