“Aging With Style: the Saga of Our Lives” Mural Dedication

Mural Arts Philadelphia and the Pennsylvania Housing Affordability and Rehabilitation Enhancement (PHARE) will dedicate *Aging With Style: the Saga of Our Lives*, a new six-story mural by Cesar Viveros at Mary Field Senior Apartments. The celebration will include food, music, and a gathering of the community, along with a poetry collection created by residents during the mural’s development.

Inspired by a garden that provides a sanctuary for residents of HumanGood’s four-building Kingsessing campus, the mural covers the side of the senior center with natural imagery and portraits of Mary Field residents. Residents from throughout the campus helped shape the work through a community paint day and poetry workshops led by poet and spoken-word artist Ursula Rucker. The event celebrates the collaboration between Viveros and the Mary Field community.
