George Clanton

George Clanton brings his atmospheric electronic pop to Union Transfer with Ryan Hemsworth. Drawing on vaporwave, shoegaze, synth-pop, rock, and internet music, Clanton creates nostalgic songs designed to evoke memories and emotional associations. His music combines gauzy synthesizers, distorted vocals, driving breakbeats, and candid lyrics that transform personal reflection into colorful, comforting pop.

Clanton is also the founder of the 100% Electronica label, which he runs with his wife and fellow artist Negative Gemini. He emerged from the early vaporwave scene under the names ESPRIT 空想 and Mirror Kisses, releasing the influential all-original album virtua.zip before adopting his given name in 2015. His later work includes 100% Electronica, Slide, and the 2020 collaboration George Clanton & Nick Hexum with 311 frontman Nick Hexum. He has also organized 100% ElectroniCON, created virtual-reality concerts and online programs, and developed a new album described as a more mature blend of his musical influences.
