Afro-Cuban All Stars

Afro-Cuban All Stars brings a high-energy celebration of Cuba’s musical heritage to Philadelphia. Led by Juan de Marcos, the legendary ensemble has helped preserve and expand Cuban music while introducing its most established players and newest stars to audiences worldwide. The group grew from the Buena Vista Social Club, the influential recording and musical movement that helped renew global interest in Cuban music.

The performance blends bolero, rumba, salsa, brass, percussion, and powerful vocals in a vibrant, dance-ready concert. The band has received four GRAMMY nominations, and the event page describes the experience as both virtuosic and accessible, with music capable of transporting listeners to Havana’s 1950s golden age.
