Nonfiction Book Club
Lee Rodgers leads the Athenæum’s Nonfiction Book Club in a discussion of Colin Thubron’s *To a Mountain in Tibet* (2012). The book follows Thubron’s pilgrimage to Kailas, a Hindu and Buddhist holy mountain regarded as one of the world’s most sacred places. The memoir combines an account of the physical journey with a deeply personal exploration of spirituality, mortality, and the inner life, and is presented as a moving travel narrative for readers interested in both world travel and journeys of the soul.
The program meets in person and is limited to Athenæum members. Registration applies only to this session.
