Hurry Up Fest: A One-Time Benefit for Bands and WOAR - Philadelphia Center Against Sexual Violence
Hurry Up Fest is a one-time benefit assembled to help the participating bands and artists bring their shows to the road during a difficult period. After basic venue and artist expenses are covered, all remaining proceeds will go to WOAR, the Philadelphia Center Against Sexual Violence. The event’s Friday and Saturday performances are at Underground Arts; the Sunday program has moved to Warehouse On Watts.
The festival also includes a special record sale by The Numero Group, which will be set up at Underground Arts throughout Friday and Saturday with LPs, CDs, tapes, 7-inch records, and T-shirts. The organizers note that Breadbox and Dilly Dally are no longer involved and that the event was organized by people who stepped in to support the artists, venues, and fans.
