Sketching in the Galleries

Sketching in the Galleries offers a series of drop-in drawing sessions that invite participants to explore the Philadelphia Museum of Art’s collections through sketching. Each session takes place in a different gallery and centers on a particular theme drawn from the works on view. No prior drawing experience is needed, and materials are supplied.

When: Friday, November 27, 2026

Showtimes: 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Venue: Philadelphia Museum of Art, Main Building

Location: Multiple galleries; the specific gallery will be announced on the museum’s website before the program and at Visitor Services desks.

Tickets: Free with museum admission. Museum admission is free for members. Reservations are not required.

Format: Drop-in sketching session focused on a specific work or collection theme.

Materials: Sketching materials are provided.

Experience level: All experience levels are welcome.

Seating and capacity: Seating and attendance may be limited by the size and restrictions of the gallery hosting the session.

Discount: Participants receive 10% off art supplies at the museum store.
