Swarthmore Theater presents Anton Chekhov's The Vaudevilles

Swarthmore Theater presents Anton Chekhov’s humorous one-act vaudevilles, directed by Leah Walton. The Production Ensemble brings together three absurdly human comedies: a widow’s confrontation with a bear, a marriage proposal that descends into slaps, and an unforgettable wedding toast. Written before Chekhov’s better-known plays such as *Uncle Vanya*, these works offer an early glimpse of his tragicomic view of human behavior.
