The Family Recipe

The Family Recipe is a Thanksgiving-themed independent comedy about the warmth, traditions, and disorder that arise when multiple generations come together under one roof. Filmed entirely in New Jersey, the ensemble film is designed as a character-driven story for tweens, parents, and grandparents to enjoy together.

The screening will be followed by a question-and-answer session with writer and director Karl Ryan Erikson. The film won Best Feature Film at the Long Island International Film Expo and has also been presented at festivals and special screenings throughout the Northeast. Erikson has a personal connection to the venue: his short World War II film, *Addle Strife*, screened at the Newtown Theatre in 2017.
