Madra Salach

Madra Salach brings a contemporary take on Irish folk to Johnny Brenda’s. The six-piece group from Dublin combines traditional Irish songs and influences with original material, experimental textures, and poetic storytelling. Their arrangements draw on harmonium, mandolin, tin whistle, percussion, guitar, electronics, and powerful vocals.

Formed through informal pub sessions in 2023, the band grew out of musicians from different groups who shared a passion for traditional music. Their live performances move between intimate, atmospheric passages and energetic climaxes, helping them build a following through Irish, UK, and European festivals, sold-out headline tours, and strong word-of-mouth acclaim.
