The Tubs
The Tubs bring their literary, bleary-eyed brand of high-energy indie rock to Johnny Brenda’s, with Slippers appearing on the bill. The Tubs’ frontman Owen Williams described the band’s U.S. touring mission as an effort to unite the country; after multiple cross-country tours, the group signed with Merge Records, which is set to release its third full-length album, *Hard Life*, on September 11, 2026.
Slippers is led by Madeline BB, whose pop-focused project is built around energetic, melodic songwriting. The band’s latest record, *Do You Like Slippers?*, features 11 songs. BB is also a drummer who performs with Le Pain and previously played in Yucky Duster. Her background in animation, including graduate study at the California Institute of the Arts, has informed the project, which began in Los Angeles and draws on her upbringing in Atlanta.
