Small Favors 2026
Small Favors 2026 is The Clay Studio’s 20th annual miniature exhibition and 20th-anniversary edition. The show presents nearly 800 small artworks by almost 400 artists, with each piece displayed in a four-inch cube. Most works are ceramic, ranging from tiny mugs and functional vessels to intricate sculptures, though artists from outside the ceramic field are also included.
The exhibition highlights the creativity involved in working at a miniature scale. Some artists reduce the forms and ideas found in their usual studio practices, while others use the format to explore entirely different directions. This year’s participants include established ceramic artists as well as emerging artists, with work from Japan, China, Budapest, and locations throughout the United States. The exhibition includes both juried submissions from an annual open call and works by invited artists.
