Ekphrastic Poetry Workshop
Ekphrastic Poetry Workshop invites participants to consider the relationship between visual art, poetry, and music. Inspired by the vibrant work of Moe Brooker, attendees will explore Woodmere’s galleries and write poetry in response to the art during a workshop led by acclaimed poets Raina J. León and Kirwyn Sutherland.
The workshop will be followed by an open mic in the galleries, featuring music by Miles Orion Butler and Karen Smith. The afternoon will end with light refreshments on Woodmere’s porch. Writers of every experience level are welcome.
