Arun Ramamurthy Trio & Rudresh Mahanthappa Hero Trio

Arun Ramamurthy Trio and Rudresh Mahanthappa Hero Trio share a special double bill presented by Penn Live Arts. The performance brings together jazz and South Indian Carnatic traditions: violinist Arun Ramamurthy’s trio performs music from his album *New Moon*, along with original compositions and reimagined Carnatic repertoire, followed by the Rudresh Mahanthappa Hero Trio’s energetic interpretations of jazz classics and songs from across the musical landscape.

The performance is part of the Arts of India Festival, co-presented with Sruti, The India Music & Dance Society, Philadelphia. It is also a Penn Live Arts debut and includes a pre-show ListenHear conversation with both bandleaders.
