A Talent for Murder
A Talent for Murder is a 1-hour-46-minute thriller set in the Swiss Alps. An ambitious young publishing executive travels there to convince celebrated crime novelist Patricia Highsmith to write another installment in her Tom Ripley series. Highsmith instead draws him into an unsettling exercise: helping her imagine the perfect murder. As their collaboration deepens, the boundary between literary invention and reality starts to dissolve in this story of obsession, ambition, deception, and the dangerous force of imagination.
Helen Mirren plays Patricia Highsmith, with Alden Ehrenreich as the publishing executive and Olivia Cooke also starring. The film is directed by Anton Corbijn.
