Uncle Buck

Uncle Buck is a screening of John Hughes’s warm, offbeat family comedy starring John Candy, Macaulay Culkin, and Jean Louisa Kelly. When a family emergency takes his brother and sister-in-law out of town, laid-back bachelor Buck becomes responsible for their three children despite having little experience with parenting or suburban life.

Buck wins over the younger children with enormous breakfasts, unusual solutions, and genuine affection, but must work harder to gain the confidence of Tia, his skeptical teenage niece. The film explores responsibility, growing up, and the unexpected ways people can become heroes.
