Boundless Love: A Tribute to John Prine

Boundless Love: A Tribute to John Prine brings the cast of Hezekiah Jones’s Friends to the Newtown Theatre for a special concert performed as the Handsome Johnny’s. The evening will celebrate the music of the late, great John Prine, with additional appearances by several local musicians.

Prine was a two-time Grammy winner regarded as one of folk music’s finest singer-songwriters. He was known for his raspy vocals, understated guitar playing, and lyrics that could be heartfelt, incisive, and humorous. The program will honor his catalog and legacy, including music connected to his final album, *The Tree of Forgiveness*, released in 2018 after a 13-year recording hiatus.
